He-Man Movie
The He-Man movie was officially announced for 2011.
He-Man will return to the stage in an upcoming live-action movie, now scheduled for 2011. The new movie will be produced by Joel Silver and the Warner Brothers, with Mattel’s Barry Waldo as executive producer.
The film will be directed by John Stevenson - the co-director of Kung-Fu Panda, who has also worked on the Shrek movies among many others. The draft script was written by Justin Marks and has been extensively blogged about last year.
The working title of the new movie is Masters of the Universe
, but that may yet change.
This new development follows last year’s rumors about a He-Man movie in 2009 and the subsequent confirmed rumor that the movie was in fact cancelled. For further information, see the comment thread below and the news section of the site.

Please, don’t mess this one up. We want He-Man to be from Eternia, because his mother was supposed to be from Earth. The transformation is important, too. We want to see Prince Adam and Cringer! Base it on the 2002 cartoon. That was phenomenal! I’m sick of people changing the storylines to popular stories.

Hm… New writer - again? WB and Silver productions hired a new writer (how long will this take?). Now we can wait almost a year to hear some other news (the actual production of the movie).

Hi, John Hooks here. As you may know John Stevenson, the Director of the very popular animated film Kum Foo Padna will be directing the new Masters of the Universe film. Now there has been some concern that they may be scraping Justin Marks’ script, and yes, they are but there is no need to worry. I would first like to address the rumor that the “He-man as a soldier in Iraq has been resurrected. This is not true. We have been working on an angle that would have He-man as an Earth-man who is summoned by destiny to battle the Evil warlord Skeletor on Eternia. (a planet which is located 30 million light-years away in another dimension of space and time) Skeletor basically wants to wipe out all traces of magic on the planet and turn to technology. Hard-core fans will know that this idea actually contradicts the intentions of Skeletor (who was a powerful sorcerer) in the 80’s cartoon. The major issue Warner Bros. had been dealing with was how do we make this film stand out over other films of it’s type which led to this re-imagining idea. Our job is to make sure that happens. The main idea is to keep the awesomeness factor alive and kicking! and to take this thing to the stars and beyond…since that time adjustments have been made to the script and elements of Marks’ script have been injected to bring the awesomeness factor back. John Stevenson has professed his love for He-man and I believe that the story will be in good hands once he takes the reins to direct. No fear fans, it’s still gonna be awesome!!! I have a stiffy just thinking about it!

Now that the producers are working with Kung Fu Panda co-director John Stevenson so they will be getting the project happening
during later in the year so they would choose some cast the actors to play He-Man and they should choose Travis Fimmel who stars in the show The Beast with Patrick Swayze to play the part.
Travis Fimmel as the mighty He-Man sounds cool to me.
Thank you

Yes there will be magical transformation! As for Orko i do have feeling he will be in too (John Stevenson is Kung Fu Panda Co-Director), which means there could be some script changes (maybe not in first movie but for sure in sequels).
