He-Man Movie
Latest news: Warner Bros pulls out
He-Man’s return to the stage is planned in an upcoming live-action movie, scheduled for 2011 by latest released info. The new production lineup has not been announced since the news about WB pulling out.
The film will still be directed by John Stevenson – the co-director of Kung-Fu Panda, who has also worked on the Shrek movies, among many others. The draft script was written by Justin Marks and has been extensively blogged about last year.
The working title of the new movie is Masters of the Universe
, but that may yet change.
This new development follows the rescheduling to 2011 after last year’s rumors about a He-Man movie in 2009 and the subsequent confirmed rumor that the movie was in fact cancelled. For further information, see the comment thread below and the news section of the site.

This is foolishness. You skeletor loving goofballs are just looking on IMDB and then saying, “Rumor is this” or “latest news is”. When He-Man hears of this he will be angry and then it’s all over.

Latest news are that Michael Finch & Alex Litvak (Predators) are penning the script for Universal Pictures (Sony) – well that’s about it.

I think that James Cameron should produce this movie, it would be epic! I would also like for them to keep close to the original characters looks/story as possible.

Hi! Mattel, Sony & Columbia pictures are closing a deal for a future live action movie (well He – Man movie still isn’t dead). They will start to developing it from werry beggining, which means John Stevenson is no longer part of it.

Grayskull the movie is no longer WB property (which means it is cancelled) – for how long… no one knows (one thing is shure, there won’t be 2011 release nor 2012).

I know Mattel will never see this message but… Why are you bothering with Silver and WB when there is clearly seen that they are not interested into making an actual movie. Go to some other movie corporation!!!!!!!!
